The Academy of Lore is not a true academy as such, but rather a wing of the school of history at the university in Ir Alatha. It is headed up by the recently resurrected Loremaster Aranos. He has just established the school via a large grant and seeks to spread what he sees as a near dying art. The establishment of the Demiurge as a viable adventuring school inspired him to begin training protegees in one of the oldest adventuring roles, the chronicler, teller of tales, and inspirer. Using the vast resources of Ir Alatha's Great Library and his own substantial knowledge of the oral tradition of the Alathaya, Aranos, revered as one of the greatest storytellers of the time, teaches pupils the art of inspiring whole groups, bolstering their resolve while weakening that of their opponents. The school teaches no offensive capabilities, but many new disciples are studying various weapons on their own. The Lorekeeper is primarily a social class, and the benefits of one in a group is sure to make them welcome amongst any group of adventurers.
